John Norman began his career in the financial service industry in 1983 with The New York Life Insurance Companies. In 1988, he joined The Mutual of Omaha Companies as a Life Insurance and Investment Specialist. In 1995 John was promoted to District Sales Manager and began focusing on the recruiting, training, and retention of new financial service representatives. John joined Ackley Financial Group, Inc. in August of 1998 as Vice President of Sales Development. John currently serves as a Financial Professional with ARMOR Wealth Management where he helps individuals protect, grow and enjoy their wealth.

Industry and community service is an important part of John’s activity. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Dallas General Agents and Managers Association as well as the Society of Financial Service Professionals. John is past President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Dallas Chapter (NAIFA – Dallas). He has twice served as the local chairman of the Texas Insurance and Financial Forum. As board member of the Dallas Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, he twice has served as Chairman of The Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award. He has helped in fund raising efforts for the Plano Symphony Orchestra. In 2015 John was inducted into the NAIFA – Dallas Hall of Fame. In 2016 John was recognized as Best Financial Advisor in Denton County.

John holds his General Lines – Life, Accident & Health, FINRA Series 6, 7, 24 and 63 licenses, is a graduate of the Agency Management Training Course. (AMTC) and GAMA’s “The Essentials of Leadership & Management.” John is a licesenced LEAP (Lifetime Economic Acceleration Process) practitioner. He also is the Regional Marketing Consultant for the PAA (Professional Advisors Alliance).

A native of Dallas, John attended Abilene Christian University. He and his wife Pam reside in Plano. In his spare time, John enjoys music of all types, fishing, travel and is an avid football and hockey fan.
